So, uh ... gyoza are these delicious Japanese dumplings made with pork, cabbage, and other such things.

And pierogies are these delicious Polish dumplings made with potato, cheese, and other such things.

And when I draw them, they look eerily similar. No wonder Tanuki gets them confused!

Heh, the belly doesn't contain an actual baby; it's swollen with how much of a space-time warp Tanuki's put in there to fit his new shrine in there. At least, I think it's just a shrine in there ...
